There are two important questions I've grown to ask myself daily, "How do I feel?" and "What do I need?" If you're like me, you didn't start asking yourself these questions until later in life after many lessons and stress. Maybe the thought of meditating sounds absolutely absurd and/or overwhelming. Perhaps you already do these things and you're seeking a little inspiration and support in showing up for yourself.
That's what I'm here for! I am passionate about teaching yoga to all levels through the connection of mind, body and spirit. I used to think that I had to be extremely flexible and physically fit before I even attempted to do yoga until one day I had a teacher share wisdom, "The way you move in your life is the way you move on the mat. Yoga isn't about touching your toes, it's about reconnecting with your breath, essentially yourself."
MIND BLOWN! Who knew? The truth is, Western culture does an immense amount of appropriating this sacred practice for a hefty profit, not to mention creating a great focus on the physical component. And yes, yoga does include the physical poses (Asana). However, Yoga is much more than that. It's about YOU. The deep down truth and power of who you are and what you can contribute to this wonderful world. But let's be real, we sometimes gets stuck and stifled which can influence our minds to get lost and play small causing us to want to check out.
Giving up is not an option! Through yoga and meditation I can provide you different techniques that compliment your process of what we call being human.
