"Movement never lies. It is a barometer telling the state of the soul's weather to all who can read it." - Martha Graham

When I was 6 years old, I attended a car show with my family. During the event I witnessed kids my age and older doing odd things like waving their limbs as if they were water and spinning on their heads on cardboard boxes. One of those older kids being my big brother, Levi. Why was he doing this? And why was I so excited to wiggle my little body to the beat of Zapp and Roger?  Whatever it was my life would never be the same.

At age 7, I found myself choreographing dances on two of my little cousins, Belinda and Selina (thanks for humoring me BTW!)  I didn't know what I was doing but I did know I was intrigued about telling stories through movement. And even then, I knew deep down I was going to use dance as a way to create the life I wanted and inspire others to do the same for themselves.
